After twenty years of high-end residential interior design, I’ve seen it all…
Maybe not, but I have several designer friends that share some of the same concerns about the new economy. We have to change our business practices and find new ways to stay competitive and current.
I fell into design as many of us have - I spent eleven years in sales and marketing for a Fortune 500 company in the home furnishings industry after receiving my BSBA in Finance & Banking. After that, I had a two year experience with facilities planning and commercial design in Dallas - a job that accidentally found me. During that time, I helped several friends with their homes. At that point, I did not have formal training…just a natural talent for design.
I moved to San Francisco for a short time, and ended up moving to Denver in 1990. Shortly after arriving, I met my husband and we both decided to go back to school - I completed my interior design degree in 1992. By the time I was finished with school, I was working full-time for myself in residential design.
My specialties have been dream home construction design up to $5 million, high-end spa baths and renovation design and management.
